Donald Brown (GadgetDon)  > Electronics > Ebony & Ivory Rebuild
While I'm happy with the hardware in the Ebony and Ivory project, I'm rebuilding the case. It will be made of wood, stained. Half will be stained with a very light stand, the other with a very dark stain. It will also be thinner.

Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > This is the front of the skeleton for the new case. It's 13" x 24" x 24", divided into three compartments. The two side compartments are 24" x 18" and will each hold a computer.
Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > This is the back area of the skeleton. There are two holes for routine the cables from the computer compartments. It will have the power strip, ethernet hug, and a small mini-itx computer with a file server.
Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > These are the two top pieces. They will be held together with dowels when the project is done. The holes are for fans that will blow air up and out of the cabinet.
Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > These are the front boards. The round hole will have a fan which will pull air into the cabinet. The rectangles are for the optical drives.
Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > This is a dry fit to get a feel for how it will look when put together.
Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > This is a dry fit of one of the side compartments. Air should flow well across the motherboard. There will be a door covering the big opening, with a window.
Donald Brown (GadgetDon) > This is the back of the dry fit. There will be a removable back for the pieces here. I just hope everything will fit.
